What Were You Saying? is an ongoing art piece in which two AI-driven characters carry on an open-ended conversation. Each character is shaped by its own personality, memories, and knowledge base, which their respective human collaborators continually curate.

The characters develop over time. As they talk, key themes, facts, and dynamics are extracted and fed back into their memories. The conversation is compressed into summaries so they can reference the past without losing the thread.

The result is a living dialogue between two artificial minds, each growing more complex with every exchange.
